West Bromwich Albion chief Dan Ashworth is excited about his move to the FA.
He was named as the FA's new director of elite development yesterday.
Ashworth will not work specifically with the England senior or Under-21 teams but will play a key role in the development of the country's elite talent alongside Trevor Brooking, the director of football development.
"Working within the national set-up has been a lifelong ambition," said the 41-year-old. "To do so at a time when the future of the game in this country has never looked brighter is an exciting challenge which I look forward to taking on."
