New West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Irvine is chasing Everton fullback Tony Hibbert.

The Mail on Sunday says Irvine worked with Hibbert when he was David Moyes' No 2 at Goodison Park.

And he has now made an enquiry about the 33-year-old defender, who is out of contract after playing more than 300 games for the Merseysiders.
