West Bromwich Albion are chasing Dundee United midfielder Stuart Armstrong.
The Sunday Express says Albion sent a scout to Tannadice yesterday to run the rule over Armstrong, below, who turned in a fine display in their 3-1 league win over Motherwell.
New Baggies boss Tony Pulis has money to spend during the January transfer window as they bid to climb the table and is understood to be keen on £2.5million-rated Armstrong.
The 22-year-old is already on Parkhead gaffer Ronny Deila's wanted list after the Hoops moved recently to land United winger Gary Mackay-Steven on a pre-contract.
