West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine has called on Saido Berahino to focus on his football.
The 21-year-old scoring sensation is at the centre of a police investigation over alleged drink-driving and speeding at well over 100 mph.
Irvine said he was satisfied the player's mind was clear enough to play despite the ongoing police probe.
"The phone call was a shock but we don't know all the circumstances or details," said Irvine ahead of their meeting with Arsenal.
"I haven't spoken to him about the investigation because I don't feel that's anything to do with me.
"I'm not necessarily feeling he should have come to me. Until it's sorted out I won't be commenting any more on it.
"I've had a football chat with him and as far as I'm concerned his head is in the right place."
