West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine can see Saido Berahino playing alongside Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney for England.
Irvine believes his leading scorer and the Manchester United skipper complement each other well and hopes to see them combine forces against Slovenia and Scotland.
"There is no doubt they can play together because they are different types," Irvine said.
"There is no point in comparing Wayne and Saido, the only comparison is they both love football, enjoy training and have fun out on the training ground.
"I don't know what Roy [Hodgson] has got in his mind, if this is just a learning experience for Saido or if he's actually thinking of playing him.
"Saido has got to go there and do as well as he possibly can and do the things that got him this particular opportunity - being the type of striker he is for us."
