West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke is keen to discuss a new contract.
Clarke will have 12 months to run at the end of this season and, having now proved himself as a capable number one after spending so long as an assistant, appears set to be rewarded with a lengthier agreement.
The former Chelsea No 2 confirmed he was happy at the Hawthorns, saying:
"At the moment, this is the best role for me.
"It's the one I've waited a long, long time for. I've served a big apprenticeship to be here and to be the guy who makes the final decisions. I've enjoyed being the number two at some of the top clubs in the country. Of course, no-one can predict what will happen.
"But, right now, I'm really comfortable and happy in this job."
