Lille attacker Salomon Kalou has turned down a move to West Bromwich Albion.
Baggies boss Steve Clarke, speaking after watching new signing Nicolas Anelka score in a 2-0 win against Bologna on Saturday, said a £2.6million deal for Kalou had been struck but the Ivory Coast international failed to agree terms.
Clarke said: "It doesn't look like we are going to get Kalou out of Lille"
