Wesolowski joins Peterborough from Leicester City

James Wesolowski has signed with Peterborough United after ending his time at Leicester City.

The 22-year old Australian midfielder has struggled to get regular first team time with the Foxes recently so has decided to jump ship and start afresh with the Posh despite them being relegated to League One.

Sydney-born Wesolowski spent most of last season on loan with Scottish Premier League club Hamilton Academical and impressed in his time there but was not offered a permanent deal so took up a two-year contract with new boss Gary Johnson at London Road.

"I had a pretty good season with Hamilton last season and have been given the opportunity to come to Peterborough and I'm looking forward to helping the club achieve promotion," he told the club's official website.

"It was a great experience last season. It gave me plenty of confidence and playing against Celtic and Rangers has helped me a lot.

"Now my goal is to help Peterborough achieve promotion and I believe we can do that.

"The manager was a big part of my decision to come here, he has great experience and I can't wait to play for him."
