Werder Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt has spoken to Marko Grujic about a move away from Liverpool, it has been revealed.

Werder are rivaling Hertha Berlin, where the midfielder spent last season on-loan, for the Serb this summer.

BILD says Kohfeldt has called Grujic about his plans for him at Werder. The pair share the same agent.

Werder are eager to set up a two-season loan with the Reds for the midfielder.

Grujic is tied to Liverpool until 2023.
