Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger rued his side's lost opportunities in the Champions League group stage.
The Gunners hammered Galatasaray 4-1 in Istanbul on Tuesday night to finish second in Group D behind Borussia Dortmund on goal difference.
In earlier fixtures, the Gunners were beaten 2-0 by Dortmund in Germany and squandered a three-goal lead to be held to a 3-3 draw by Anderlecht which Wenger feels cost them top spot on the group table.
"We had two favourites who responded to being favourites. We have regrets about our game in Dortmund," he told Sky Sports.
"At home we did the job well. Overall we won four games and had one draw but that point against Anderlecht at home we can regret."
Wenger added: "Unfortunately it wasn't enough but we finished with 13 points and we did the job tonight."
