Arsene Wenger was delighted with the way his Arsenal side finished off their group stage campaign of the Champions League.
The Gunners controlled FC Basel to come away with a 4-1 win at St Jakob-Park thanks to a hat-trick from Lucas Perez.
The victory, and PSG's 2-2 draw with Ludogorets, sees Arsenal finish top of Group A which Wenger admits was his side's goal from the outset.
"We made a great result to be top of this group which is what we wanted," the Frenchman told BT Sport 2.
"We did the job I think in a convincing way, we were mobile, we started very well, we scored goals on all our accelerations and overall we had a convincing performance."
Regarding Monday's Round of 16 draw as group winners, Wenger added: "It's difficult to know (the advantages of finishing top) - you feel a bit less guilty.
"If you have a bad draw (it can be) when you're first or second. At least we have done our job and let's see what happens."
