Manchester United won the Carling Cup at the national stadium last week on a bobbly surface that made passing difficult. And Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson fears the quality of the pitch at Wembley could spoil the FA Cup semi-finals.
"I hope the pitch is better," Ferguson said. "It should be better than that and you expect Wembley to be better than that.
"For me it was so heavy and wet. If it's a good playing surface we'll look forward to it."
