Wellington Phoenix members are vying to stay away from renewing their memberships ahead of the upcoming A-League season.
Just 200 of the Phoenix's 3500 members have purchased memberships for season 2009/10 but club chief executive Tony Pignata believes there is no reason to be alarmed.
"It's been a bit poor, the take-up, given that we've pretty much maintained last year's prices for all our members," Pignata said.
"I think the current climate will play a part but it's not excessive, even if you're not going to go to all the games, you've only got to go to eight or nine and it's worth it."
