Jeremy Brockie believes fellow New Zealander Michael McGlinchey will take out this seasons A-League Player of the Year award.
The 26-year old Central Coast Mariners star will be up against the likes of Sydney FC's Alessandro Del Piero (who won the Alex Tobin Medal) and Melbourne Victory's Marco Rojas at tonight's A-League awards celebration and Wellington Phoenix striker Brockie, via Twitter, is backing McGlinchey to edge out the Juventus great and All Whites youngster.
A league awards tonight!Who do you all think will get the big one? I'm thinking between Del Piero, Rojas and McGlinchey.Wee Mikey to take it — Jeremy Brockie (@JRBrockie) April 15, 2013
McGlinchey has been a key in the Mariners midfield this season, guiding the club to their third straight A-League Grand Final, where they will take on expansion club Western Sydney Wanderers at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
