Wellington coach Herbert frustrated with draw against Adelaide

Wellington Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert was left frustrated after yesterday's 1-1 draw with league leaders Adelaide United.

Herbert believes his team deserved more from the match as the Phoenix created several chances but were unable to finish off their good work further afield.

"It was a bit frustrating, as we just couldn't quite find that goal from the chances we created," he said.

On the other hand, Reds coach Aurelio Vidmar wasn't deterred by the fact his could not grab maximum points, saying it was a solid effort after such a heavy workload.

"I thought we were great for the first 20 minutes, but we lost concentration and made a few mistakes and the Phoenix got themselves back in the game," Vidmar said.

"It's our fifth game in 15 days, and we have a squad that's totally depleted with injuries … but ultimately, you have to cope with that."
