Andreas Weimann came off the bench to secure a 1-1 draw for Aston Villa in their friendly match against Bundesliga 2 side Paderborn.

The hosts went ahead after 22 minutes when Rick ten Voorde finished well after being set up by Thomas Bertels from the left wing.

However, Weimann pounced after an hour when he collected a Samir Carruthers' through ball before rounding the goalkeeper Lukas Kruse and slotting home.
