Weimann relieved as Villa goal drought ends

Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann admits he was relieved to have got back on the goalscoring front after a four-month barren run. "I want to keep going," Weimann told the Birmingham Mail. "I feel I can. It's like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders when you score goals as a forward.

"I always felt I was contributing but just not scoring. But as a forward you're desperate to score. That's what you live for.

"Your confidence is bound to dip if you go for a spell without a goal but once you hit the net, you get a burst of belief."
