We showed Arsenal too much respect but we go home happy - Liverpool star Lallana

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana believes that the Reds showed too much respect to Arsenal in their 4-3 win at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners were the much better side in the first half, which ended with the score tied 1-1, however, Arsene Wenger's men lost their way in the second half and ended up conceding three goals within 14 minutes.

Lallana, who scored the second goal for the Reds, told Sky Sports: "I think maybe we showed them a little too much respect in the first half.

"He [Klopp] wanted us to get up to the ball more - more pressure, more counter-pressing. He said to use how fit we are and how we can really push on in the second half.

"We came out the traps firing and got the second, third and fourth [goals].

"We let them come back in it and it was a bit of a tense last 10 minutes.

"It was nice to hear the final whistle and get three points, and we can go home happy."
