Watford win was not a performance for the Liverpool museum - Klopp

Jurgen Klopp admits his Liverpool side simply got the job done at home against Watford on Sunday.

The German tactician made eight changes to the side that beat Villarreal 3-0 in the Europa League semi-final on Thursday but still the Reds managed to come away with a win in the form of a 2-0 result over the Hornets.

Klopp praised his side for playing in a professional manner but admitted that the overall display was not one to be remembered.

"Today there was no problem with changes. It was a real professional performance and we did what was necessary," said Klopp.

"We didn't play brilliant and it was not a game for the Liverpool museum but we did what we had to do."

Joe Allen opened the scoring in the 35th minute before Roberto Firmino added a second 14 minutes from time as the Reds moved 10 points clear of ninth-placed Chelsea who they face at Anfield on Wednesday.
