Watford striker Gray: FA Cup goal was special

Watford striker Andre Gray admits that it was a special moment for him to score against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.

Gray's strike helped Watford push into the semi finals, where they face off against Wolves for a place in the final.

The Englishman loves scoring goals, but he believes scoring in a cup quarter final trumps many of his other contributions this season.

"Obviously today it's that little bit more special, getting us to Wembley," he told the club website.

"You could see it before the game and then at the end as well with the fans that have stayed behind to clap us off. It just shows how much it means to them.

"I've just got to keep making the runs and I didn't think Maxi (Roberto Pereyra) was going to play it, I didn't think he'd seen it, but it's a fantastic ball. It got caught in the wind a bit so I kind of sliced it, but it probably worked out better because if I hit it clean then it doesn't go in."
