Watford owner Gino Pozzo is intent on signing Inter Milan duo Davide Santon and Zdravko Kuzmanovic.

Watford had recently launched an ambitious double swoop to sign full-back Santon and midfielder Kuzmanovic in an attempt to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Santon has already moved on to state that he would not be interested in a move to Vicarage Road but club owner Pozzo is confident on changing the players' mind.

Pozzo told the fcinternews: "At the moment I cannot go too far one way or the other, but I can say that talks are in full swing and negotiations continue.

"Are the two players intent on saying no to Watford? I am confident we can change their minds. I remain optimistic and always will be."
