Watford secure trio to deals to season end

Watford have secured Adrian Mariappa, Jose Holebas and Heurelho Gomes to deals to the end of the season.

The three players were all due to be out of contract in the summer and as such would become free agents on July 1.

The Premier League season, however, is due to run until July now after the outbreak of coronavirus and suspension of football in England.

Mariappa, Holebas and Gomes also remain in talks with the club about their long-term futures and could yet sign new, long-term deals.

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has already signed a new two-year deal to keep him at the club.
