Watford have valued Troy Deeney at £5million in a bid to ward Celtic off the star.
The 24-year old former Walsall man has starred for the promotion-chasing Hornets this season, scoring 20 goals in 41 appearances ahead of Monday's Premier League playoff with Crystal Palace at Wembley, prompting interest from the Hoops.
But reports suggest Watford are intent on keeping him at Vicarage Road by slapping the aforementioned price tag on him.
Deeney, who signed a three-year deal in March, is also being tracked by Aston Villa and newly-promoted Cardiff City.
