Watford hero Guedioura eyes FA Cup clash with old mates Crystal Palace

Adlene Guedioura is hoping to face former side Crystal Palace in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Watford sealed their place in the final four of the Cup by defeating defending champions Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday and the Hornets could potentially face Everton, Crystal Palace, Manchester United or West Ham United at Wembley in April.

One of the heroes for Watford during the victory over Arsenal was Guedioura, who scored with a wonderful strike, and the Algerian has now stated that he would love to come up against former club Palace in the next round of the competition.

"We tried to manage the play and follow the manager's plan and today we won, so it was the perfect afternoon on a lovely day at the Emirates," he told Stan Collymore on talkSPORT after the game.

"Yes, the strike was the cherry on the cake, but it was good to win and go to Wembley.

"I have friends there and it's always nice to play Palace but why not meet them in the final? It can be a rematch of the [2013 Championship] play-off final."
