Watford chairman Graham Taylor claims there has been no approach from managerless Championship rivals Cardiff for the Hornets counterpart Malky Mackay. Mackay has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Cardiff City, who are seeking a new boss after parting company with Dave Jones.
"As we speak, we have not had an approach from any club for Malky," Taylor told the South Wales Echo.
"That said, in football you never know what will happen so you can never tell."
Taylor continued: "Malky is linked with virtually every job that comes up, apart from the very top-level managerial posts.
"That is because he has done a decent job at Watford and, football being what it is, what you come to expect."
