Watford have tabled a bid for Reims fullback Hassane Kamara.

Foot Mercato says an offer from the Hornets has been fielded by Reims this week.

However, the proposal falls short of the €5.5m Riems are seeking to sell Kamara this month.

Watford face competition from Lyon for the wing-back, who isn't their only Ligue 1 target.

The Hornets are also keen on Strasbourg midfielder Youssouf Fofana.
