Watford boss Zola holds no grudge against West Ham

Watford boss Gianfranco Zola holds no grudge against former club West Ham United.

Zola was out of football for two years after being sacked by West Ham, having just avoided relegation. Twelve months later the Hammers went down with Avram Grant.

"I wasn't hurt by it at all," Zola told the Daily Mail. "Believe it or not, it was good. I had the opportunity to work with fantastic players who were very good to me. So were the supporters. It was very important for me. No regrets.

"I got no satisfaction from seeing them go down, trust me. I am pleased to see them back in the Premier League. The supporters, they deserve it."
