Watford boss Nigel Pearson fears the worst for Gerard Deulofeu after their stunning win over Liverpool.

The winger was taken off on a stretcher after twisting awkwardly in the first half.

Pearson admitted afterwards: "It's upsetting for the players. I went into the medical room to see him at half-time and he's clearly distressed.

"We don't know the extent of it at the minute.

"Certainly its a real concern for us and for him."
