Watford boss Dyche welcomes Man Utd windfall from Young deal

Watford are due a windfall from Manchester United's deal for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young.

The Mirror says new Watford manager Sean Dyche could land a £1m transfer war chest as a result of England winger Young's move to Manchester United.

Young was the Hornets' club record sale when he moved to Aston Villa for £9.65m in 2007, and Watford are due 15 per cent of any sell-on fee above that figure.

Dyche said: "If Ashley moves on, we would be in line for a windfall.

"I have been told there is a certain amount of money available to bring in new players."
