Free agent Derek Riordan is now being tracked by English Championship club Watford and to a lesser extent, Premier League outfit Blackburn Rovers.
The 28-year old former Hibernian striker has been heavily linked with a move to MLS side Houston Dynamo recently but the club and player have been unable to agree terms.
Now Watford boss Malky Mackay is keen to bring in a replacement for top goalscorer Danny Graham, who signed with Swansea City this week, whilst Rovers gaffer Steve Kean is also monitoring Riordan's situation.
