Watford announce Ranieri as Xisco Munoz replacement

Claudio Ranieri has been unveiled as Xisco Munoz's successor at Watford.

The Italian, who won the Premier League title with Leicester in 2016, has been without a club since leaving Sampdoria at the end of last season.

It is Ranieri's fourth stint in the Premier League, having also spent time at Fulham and Chelsea.

The 69-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Hornets.

He inherits a team struggling after promotion to the top-flight.

The Vicarage Road outfit are sitting 14th with seven points from their first seven games.
