Former Manchester City goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus rates Chelsea youngster Thibaut Courtois the best in the world.

Waterreus has been impressed by the young Belgian's work on-loan with Atletico Madrid this season.

Put to him that Bayern Munich No1 Manuel Neuer is now the world's best keeper, Waterreus responded: "No, that's Thibaut Courtois.

"His performance in the Copa del Rey final was fabulous. His save to deny Mesut Ozil was the best I've seen in three decades."
