Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny admits his season away with Besiktas helped develop his football.

The Egypt international returned to London this term and has impressed when called upon by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

In Turkey, Elneny secured regular football with Besiktas and says finding match rhythm was ideal for him.

The midfielder also says a preseason chat with Arteta gave him the shot of confidence he needed.
