Wales coach Chris Coleman feels David Moyes will enjoy his time with Real Sociedad.
Former Manchester United and Everton manager Moyes was named La Real coach this week.
Coleman had a short stint as La Real coach, himself, and said: "Leaving the club is my biggest regret in management.
"I should have shut my mouth and just got on with the job but when you are younger you are inexperienced.
"But Moyes has that experience. It didn't work out at United for whatever reason and he got his fingers burned.
"But he can come back and re-establish himself, just as Steve McClaren did in Holland with FC Twente.
"Sociedad can be a real force. They were in the Champions League last year and that's the level Moyes wants to be working at. It's a perfect fit."
Asked if Glaswegian Moyes needs to learn Spanish to communicate with his players, Coleman joked: "He needs to learn English first, never mind Spanish!"
