Wales can grab top pot with win over Belgium – Coleman

Wales manager Chris Coleman is daring to dream ahead of this weekend's clash with Belgium.

The Dragons host the world's second-ranked team in Euro2016 qualifying in Cardiff on Friday night and a win would see them move to outright position on the Group B table.

Victory over Belgium would also see Wales leapfrog the likes of Switzerland, France and Italy on FIFA's rankings and would put them in pot one for the Russia 2018 qualifying draw – which would be an astonishing rise considering they were ranked 112th prior to World Cup 2010 qualification.

"If we beat Belgium we'll be in the top pot. In my industry we're told to play everything down. Never look past the next game, which I don't," he said.

But we're in this situation and it's a possibility. It's something to look forward to so why play it down? That will be great if we do it."
