Walcott: Silverware can prove current Arsenal attack better than Henry, Bergkamp era

Theo Walcott believes the current Arsenal's attacking line can be the best in the club's history.

The 25-year old winger feels Arsene Wenger's forward crop consisting of himself, Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud, Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Welbeck can be rated better than a previous group which was led by Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp.

However, Walcott is well aware that the Gunners need to achieve more success than last season's FA Cup before they can even be compared to the brilliant sides of the early 2000s.

"When I came here, it was (Robert) Pires and (Freddie) Ljungberg, Bergkamp, Thierry and (Jose Antonio) Reyes - that's some attacking force as well.

"I think this squad probably does beat it, but we need to prove it first.

"When we go and achieve a little bit more than winning the FA Cup, then I think we can stand up and say this is the best attacking line up we've ever had."
