Tottenham legend Chris Waddle is convinced his old club can win the Premier League title this season. The former Tottenham midfielder insists the club can again crack the top four - if they learn to "win ugly".

"They finished there last season and they can do it again," he told the Sunday Mirror. "They have some very good players. Clint Dempsey and Moussa Dembele were good buys and there is a real bounce in the team's step at the ­moment.

"You've got to entertain at White Hart Lane. If you don't entertain the fans let you know. In my day, if you lost 4-3 they'd go out the ground thinking 'we lost, but what a great game'. It's not about results, it's wanting to see excitement. Especially dribblers.

"Tottenham could get a run going. I wouldn't write them off from winning the league. This year I believe it's very open. Five or six teams could win it."
