Michel Vorm is on the brink of signing a new deal with Swansea City.

Wales Online says Vorm will sign a new deal in the coming days after chairman Huw Jenkins confirmed that talks with the player had progressed well.

Vorm, a £1.5million signing from Utrecht last summer, currently has a contract running until 2014.

Swansea are also hoping to commit Welsh international defenders Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor to new deals in the near future.
