Vlahovic thrilled to score on Juventus debut in victory over Hellas Verona

Juventus' €75m striker Dusan Vlahovic was delighted to score on debut in victory over Hellas Verona.

Vlahovic and fellow debutant Denis Zakaria struck in the 2-0 win.

“It was very important to win this match because after the break for international duty is the toughest, especially mentally," Vlahovic told DAZN.

“We had the right approach from the start and did the important thing, which was to win.

“I must thank my teammate and the coach for helping me so much over the last few days. I too am trying to understand as quickly as possible how things work here. I am giving it my all.

“The most important thing for a striker is to score goals, but I want to improve in my general play, shaking off defenders, helping the team as much as possible.

“The coach told me to stay calm, not feel anxious, and that it would all go well."

He added, “As I said in the press conference, Juve always aim for the highest objectives. When Juve start a competition, they aim to win it. I am here to give my contribution, we'll take it one step at a time and see how the season develops."
