Vitesse prepare lawyers as Spurs wait on UEFA match ruling

Vitesse Arnhem expect UEFA to clear them to reach the Europa Conference League knockout round.

With the outstanding group game between Tottenham and Rennes to be decided by a UEFA tribunal, Vitesse are insisting for the position they're in, they should be allowed to reach the next phase in second place behind Rennes.

De Gerlander reports "at the Arnhem club, the legal department is on high alert. In an emergency, the Eredivisionist goes to the highest court. That is possible up to the European Court of Arbitration, the CAS."

For the moment, all three clubs are now waiting on UEFA's ruling for the scrapped home game between Spurs and Rennes, which was abandoned due to UK government covid protocols.
