Vitesse coach Leonid Slutsky has virtually wrote off the season of Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda.

On-loan at the Eredivisie outfit, Musonda has been missing since September with a knee injury - and Slutsky admits his recovery hasn't gone to plan.

"It does not look good," he said.

"Musonda will now be fit again at the earliest in February. But beware: then he has to be trained again to become a match fit. Then we talk about the end of March.

"And then everything has to go as expected.

"For all of us this is a bitter setback."
