Petrov will be there as a guest of friend and former claret and blue colleague Ashley Young, who will be sat in the stands alongside him after injury ruled him out of the Red Devils’ title charge.
Young has developed a reputation for gamboling rather than gambling, but Petrov has had a cheeky wager with the winger that his old club can sneak a result against the leaders.
“I’m going to watch the game together with Ashley Young,” said Petrov to the Sunday Mercury. “We had a little bet.
“He wasn’t happy, but I said we’re going to take something from the game. It will be exciting. The boys are looking forward to the game.
“It’s a great stadium, it’s Man United and you want to play games like that every week. The boys will be up for it and I hope we can get a result there.”
