Villa's Barry: I've never been more confident

Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry admits his England performances have sent his self-belief skyrocketing.

After victory over Estonia, he said: "My confidence has never been higher than it is at the moment. I'm playing in the centre of midfield and I'm enjoying it.

"It's important that you keep your belief when you are left out and keep going, because it will come eventually.

"It's a great feeling to be named Man of the Match here at Wembley on the back of a good team performance and a good victory.

"Things are good at the moment and it's another part of the job done. But there's a big game coming up and it's probably one of the biggest games for a long while in Russia."
