Villarreal have clinched the signing of Real Mallorca winger Giovani dos Santos.

The Mexico international has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Primera Division new boys.

"Giovani is a very good footballer, has technique and skill, and we made the effort because we are very confident in his abilities," declared Villarreal president Fernando Roig.
