Villarreal are chasing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Mirror says Villarreal boss Juan Carlos Garrido has identified 18-year-old Lukaku as a potential loan signing in January.

Garrido and president Fernando Roig believe they may be able to tempt Chelsea with the promise of offering Lukaku regular games.

Lukaku, who joined from Anderlecht in an £18m deal, is already a full Belgian international but has struggled to get regular games at Chelsea because of their wealth of forwards.
