Villarreal pair Parejo and Capoue blast Bayern Munich 'arrogance': When you spit up, it comes back to you

Villarreal captain Dani Parejo has taken aim at Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann after last night's Champions League triumph.

A 1-1 draw in Munich sees Villarreal reach the semifinals 2-1 on aggregate.

Parejo reminded Nagelsmann of his comments made after the original draw: "When the draw was made and Villarreal was drawn, their coach disrespected not Villarreal but football by saying he wanted to settle the game in the first leg. For us, it was a lack of respect. Ultimately, when you spit up, it comes back to you."

Meanwhile, Villarreal teammate Etienne Capoue added: "I didn't think Bayern were going to talk like that, lacking humility gave us strength, they continued to be arrogant.

"We don't take anything away from Bayern, it's a big club, we continue our merry way."
