Villarreal midfielder Iborra has no Leicester regrets: Vichai a great man

Villarreal midfielder Vicente Iborra has no regrets over his time with Leicester City.

Iborra left the Foxes last month to return to the LaLiga.

He told AS: "I do not regret having gone. I have managed to live a new experience, playing in new stadiums against other teams. To be able to learn another culture and another language.

"In the end the sport situation was not the best, no matter how hard I worked or tried to change it. I was stuck and I looked for solutions. Returning to Spain and my land has been very positive.

"I am grateful to Villarreal and I want to return that confidence because they have made me feel important. I still maintain contact with many people from Leicester, I wish them the best."

On the tragic passing of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, Iborra added: "He was very close and natural. Everything he did was for the good of the club and the city. He delivered to hospitals, to charitable situations. People loved him because he helped the city as much as he could.

"Those of us who knew him realized, when the tragedy occurred, that he deserved that affection. He was not special for having a fortune, he was special for what he did with it. He shared it with those who most needed it."
