Villarreal president Fernando Roig has confirmed their interest in Atletico Madrid striker Adrian.
Adrian is wanted at Villarreal as a replacement for the injured Giuseppe Rossi.
"After finding out the extent of Rossi's injury we contacted Atletico to make an offer. Adrian is a player who interested us, but they said no," said Roig.
