Villarreal chief exec Fernando Roig Negueroles has confirmed they remain keen on Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.

Roig is eager to re-sign Lo Celso after last season's loan success.

He said, "Lo Celso belongs to a great club, at a contractual level he is highly valued.

"Last season he spent half a year on loan here, but it depends on what is moving: we'll see.

"As a player we would like it, and it is to our liking, but it is a more than difficult an option and it depends on many things.

"As a player we would like him to be here, because of his quality and how he joined the team last year, but many things have to be given and it is difficult."
