Villarreal sports chief José Manuel Llaneza says Santi Cazorla is too nice a man to be a locker room leader.

Cazorla has emerged as one of this season's great comeback stories after putting behind him all his injury woes at Arsenal to join Villarreal and play his way into Spain's squad.

Llaneza stated, "He's the good of football, in every way. Good player and good person.

"He can be a leader on the field but in the dressing room I doubt it very much because he is too nice."

Llaneza is marking 25 years with Villarreal this summer.
